Dear MCMCS Family,
As we draw near the end of the first half of the school year, I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for your overwhelmingly positive support during my first few months. Miami Children’s Museum Charter School has made progress in many areas, especially improving the overall standards of academics, behavior, communication, and consistency in school policies. There have been many high points and many moments of celebration since the commencement of the school year. This is due to the tremendous effort made by each and every student, parent, and faculty member at MCMCS. I am proud to be the Principal of our school.
When we resume classes on Monday, January 8, 2018, I would like to send a friendly reminder that all students must come to school in proper uniform. Our uniform represents our school, and each student is a positive reflection of our school within the community. Please remember that navy school bottoms such as pants, skirts, bermudas, and skorts are acceptable on school days. Students will be able to continue dress down days on Wednesdays for the remainder of the year. Jeans, leggings, and athletic wear will not be permitted. The use of our school sweater will also be enforced. Students not adhering to the dress code may be subject to not participating in school-wide privileges such as field trips, participation in end of the year show, field day, etc. Kindly assist in being your child’s first teacher and demonstrate a positive partnership with our school.
Once again, I thank you for your support and hope you have a safe and restful holiday season. I wish your child and family a wonderful New Year!
